* Resource Reporting proposal
DPM, EOS and StoRM at least are OK with R1 and R2 in the document.
Oliver to get confirmation from dCache and XrootD.
More discussion needed on R3 and R4 to determine priority with experiments.
Discussion on StoRM - info will be available through xrootd, Dav and a summary file. Fine for Alice.
BB - Are these requirements on the software or on a service?
Outcome - add an "R0" to the doc which explains what is needed for any service WLCG may use (ie used/free, no interfaces specified). Then be clearer that R1-4 are an attempt to capitalise on our influence over the WLCG providers, allowing us to go further.
* WLCG Workshop Data Session
No objections to the session timetable. Oliver to contact Andy in case something can be said about CWP.
* Status of recommendations
- Requirements section
BB - mention something on sustainability. Oliver to incorporate in "vision" section (and rename it).
BB - Should identify priorities, e.g. X in the next Y years
There are items outside these priorities which are still strategic
Make it clearer what the list is and what it isn't
- Prioritisation section
BB - what about AAI stuff, is that not a priority?
AC - identity topics are very important, strongly linked to diversity
- Indigo has something ongoing with CMS.
- There are other examples, mostly based on hiding X509 certs, but we must thing about replacing them.
LB - we don't use X509 for storage access
OK - where can we discuss this further? We have Fim4R and AARC, do they (should they) have storage tracks?
MJ - last EGI conference discussed this a lot too. The situation is quite fragmented.
OK - WLCG isn't well represented at these things. Maybe we need to do more "pull" to ensure a better connection.
AC - We need to identify how WLCG can take advantage of these projects.
- Recommendations section
General agreement on the nature of the straw-man proposals. To be re-circulated in more definitive form.
LB - Some kind of preGDB is a no-brainer
MJ - good to piggy back on existing meetings, should be more ad-hoc.
* Globus announcement
JA - Ian Bird is following up directly with NSF, maybe they will take responsibility.
MJ - Any short term NSF measure is welcome, but a bigger question is on the table regarding alternatives.
