Remote: Andrei, Milosz
Apologies:
Minutes/matters from last meeting
Update of the MySQL db: (https://its.cern.ch/jira/browse/LHCBDIRAC-656) The Certification DB will not be yet updated, since we are still not based on v6r18.
DNS DDOS from lbtestvobox: fixed by restarting the nslcd daemon
Vobox root login: still not clear why Federico can login as root. To be added to the list: Zoltan, Philippe, Federico.
LHCbDIRAC installation: Status of servers, DBs, build machines…
runsv on system: (https://its.cern.ch/jira/browse/LHCBDIRAC-697) the task should be moved to DIRAC since it concerns everyone. New installations should be easy, but existing one will need a clear procedure. The proposition is to move the binaries from Linux directory to sbin: try to change it in the External tarball. Will require modifying the bashrc to include sbin in the PATH
dirac.cfg and bashrc in puppet: (https://its.cern.ch/jira/browse/LHCBDIRAC-696) This is now high priority and expected for next week. There should also be an entry in the DIRAC wiki
Update of MySQL password (https://its.cern.ch/jira/browse/LHCBDIRAC-669): Agreed on the procedure. Will be done as soon as the dirac.cfg is deployed via puppet
Build machines: 2 new CERNVM to run jenkins tests
DIRAC/LHCbDIRAC Releases planning and installation
Reminder: documentation
Reminder: CS cleaning
LHCbDIRAC v8r8: LHCbDIRAC went with the bundle of 05-23 but with lhcbgrid v12r0 (which corresponds to the bundle 05-30). This inconsistency should be fixed. Since we cannot, in a realistic time, certify all the goodies from 05-30, we downgrade LHCbGRID to the one matching 05-23. This is to be done in LHCbDIRAC v8r8p1
Qt5: It seems very complicated to have QtWebEngine installed by SFT. In any case, it is used only by the bkk_gui to open log files. It was agreed to give up that, and just open a local web browser to show the logs. Once this is implemented, we are not blocking anymore gcc6.2
Conferences planning and reports
Database workshop at CERN: Mostly on Conditions DBs. Everybody uses Oracle.
Nordugrid conference: Andrei giving a talk. He can raise points about ARC, so if we have idea, we should pass it on.
