Description

I will discuss how lattice QCD can offer precision tests of the Standard Model of particle physics against experiment and improve constraints on new physics. This will include calculation of hadronic vacuum polarisation contribution to the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon. I will also discuss briefly how lattice QCD can go beyond the precision tests and explore low-energy hadronic physics yet unexplored in experiments, for example the calculation of the pion electromagnetic form factor at high momentum transfer.
