Description
Goals for the session :
a) Theory: Current SM predictions for R(D) and R(Dstar) and their uncertainties: Principal areas of improvement and potential external input (theory or experiment) that could have in significant impact.
b) Experiments: Review of the current ratio measurements, and prospects for new results in the near future. Address dominant systematic uncertainties, both common to all measurements and those specific to final states for signal, backgrounds and normalization. Planned improvements to selection and simulation of signal and backgrounds, and inclusion of other tau and D (and Dstar for Belle) decay modes. Expected reduction in statistical and systematic uncertainties.
