Description

The final interpretation of the upcoming new measurements of anomalous magnetic moment of the muon, g-2, at Fermilab and at JPARC, require an improved Standard Model prediction of this quantity. The Standard Model calculation is entirely limited by strong interactions with two dominating contributions: (i) the hadronic vacuum polarization contribution, and (ii) the hadronic-light-by-light contribution. We review the status of these two diagrams and comment on the progress, which is expected in the upcoming years. As will be shown, precise measurements of form factors are required to significantly improve the present accuary.
