15:15 Design of Front-End Low-Noise and Radiation Tolerant Readout Systems (WP2, ASIC blocks)

A set of robust ASIC building blocks and functions need to be developed to meet the requirements of future experiments and for upgrading existing front-end electronics and detector readout systems. This development will start with the design of a radiation tolerant Phase-Locked Loop (PLL), with very low phase noise characteristics.

15:45 Evaluation of SFP+ optical transceiver modules (WP4, Opto/Packaging)

With the increase in the LHC luminosity foreseen for the sLHC upgrade, the bandwidth of optical data‐links needs to be increased.  Results from various tests will be presented and future work will be discussed.
