Description

In collaboration with CineGlobeTHE Port at CERN, Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP) and with the support of the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia, the Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival (NIFFF) is launching a search for visionary stories about the future and the existential risks pertaining to the technological leaps that take place in society.

Future Storyworlds will focus on writing for immersive media. Independent Swiss writers, artists, academics and developers will be able to take part in a unique workshop during which their work will be reviewed by scientific advisors and major players of the digital sector (video games, augmented reality, virtual reality, mixed reality, 360° experiences).

Scientific and geopolitical risk experts will come together with writing consultants to make sure that each project’s dystopian vision and narrative structure are rock solid. Furthermore, these experts will support the development of one project through personalised coaching or a financial participation in the project development up to CHF 3,000.
