In the Phase II upgrade the CMS detector at the LHC will be upgraded with barrel end endcap timing layers. In a bunch crossing the time distribution is about uniform (150ps), and if the tracks, jets could be detected with 30-40ps precision, the combinatorial background can be reduced. The barrel will use scintillators + SiPMs + TOFPET2 electronics. After the first testbeams the Technical Design Report was prepared at the end of October. The Debrecen group offered help in the SiPM testing (functional and irradiation tests).
