A three-site gauge model for flavor hierarchies and flavor anomalies

Recent B-physics anomalies represent an interesting challenge from the model-building point of view, and may indicate a significant shift of paradigm.  After a brief review of this phenomenon, and its implication from a pure EFT point of view, I present a possible UV completion based on a three-site Pati-Salam gauge model. This model is able not only to explain the anomalies, but it also provides an (a posteriori) justification for the observed hierarchies in quark and lepton mass matrices.  Implications for future low- and high-energy experiments are also briefly discussed.
