The Brazilian Center for Physical Research - CBPF, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil - hosts its 3rd Advanced School on Experimental Physics from January 22nd until February 2nd, 2018. Over 450 students (undergraduate and post-graduate students) from all over Brazil, as well as a growing number of interested students from neighboring countries, have applied to participate in the school this year. The school is organized in modules directed at specific topics and includes classes and laboratory work. The High Energy Physics module will present its students with a blend of theory classes on detector and accelerator physics, laboratory demonstration, data analysis and a virtual visit to the CMS experiment at CERN.
