Particle Physics Masterclasses is a one day intensive introduction to particle physics, the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN and its experiments, and a dedicated hands-on session where the students have the opportunity to analyse real data from the LHC and compare analysis results with CERN published results. No prior knowledge of particle physics is required, however if the students have done some courses, the training will up the level accordingly.
A Virtual Visit to the ATLAS Control Room will be organized as part of the day, where the students have a live video link to CERN where they get to ask ATLAS Scientists questions and have a tour around the control room. A careers and opportunities session is also included to advertise and highlight opportunities to students and provide advice and mentoring.
For the registration, please fill the following form. Please keep in mind that there are a limited number of places that can be offered.
