2nd WP5 Meeting - Workflow Discussion

  1. proposed date for the next meeting - March 14th at 9:30AM Cern time
  2. need for a common WP repository - ideally a Cern based workspace with access granted to everyone → a Cern Lightweight account should work.

Presentation from David Zhu on Exotic (Microwave) Undulators, with subsequent discussion on parameter details, with A. Cross working on a 36 GHz frequency source, and G. Dattoli working on the study of a Cyclotron Auto-Resonant Maser source at 250 GHz. G. D'Auria mentions old SLAC studies of resonant loops, that can be used to overcome RF undulators issues.

Discussion on the WP5 Workflow. Definition of the Tasks and the general WP5 figures of merit. T. Schmidt emphasizes the relevance of the minimum Undulator Gap that can be achieved. On showing the institutions interests in WP5 activities declared in the Grant Agreement, D. Schoerling comments that a Memorandum of Understanding is in preparation explictly including Cern in WP5.
