• PHOS developments (presented by Dmitry Peresunko)
  • geometry porting from AliRoot; no problems
  • presentation of hit structure
  • presentation of digit structure
  • presentation of cluster structure
  • test plots showing functioning of hits/digitization (even with noise)/clusterization
  • questions raised (blocking further development):
    • How to do alignment?
      • Ruben: look in TOF code for example
    • How to access/do configuration for simulation which is needed for further progress?
    • How to access OCDB?
    • How to merge hits at end of event?
  • Some discussion on digit/cluster structure and how it could be improved using external LabelContainer and better memory layout

 

• HMPID developments (G. Volpe)
  • status update on developments:
    • software stack setup
    • geometry ported
    • currently attacking hits (time estimate next 2 weeks)
    • digitization should follow immediately after (time estimate until July?)
    • main manpower is G. Volpe

 

• ZDC slide (shown in absence of C. Oppedisan)

  • main question is timeline of developments

 

• TOF (Chiara Zampolli)
  • reminder of digitization status beginning of year
    • pileup was then still prototype, now ok?
  • TOF started clusterization stage (new for TOF)
  • proposition of setup (HitReader) to serve clusterization with both "raw" as well as "simulated" data 
    • Sandro: name might not be optimal as Hit resembles too much simulated data
  • Digits are order per strip which might allow parallel processing (once moved to DPL)
  • data structures for use in ITS-TPC track matching shown (evolution from AliRoot to O2)
  • code sprint planned for end of June 2018 to tackle reco and track matching ITS-TPC
