Description
High intensity beams will be a new challenge in term of
losses reduction for the injector complex, in particular at
the PS.
This talk will present the identified sources of losses in
the PS during high-intensity operations, with particular
attention to the CNGS. Possible solutions to alleviate
the impact of the increased irradiation on both the
machine equipments and the area surrounding the PS
tunnel will be discussed.
