Flavour spectrum from flux compactification

After reviewing briefly an interplay between grand unification and flavour physics, I shall discuss a supersymmetric SO(10) X U(1) model in six dimensions, compactified on an orbifold with abelian magnetic flux. Because of the underlying unified symmetry and a common origin of matter, there exist a number of relations between Yukawa couplings in effective theory which lead to a prediction of the light neutrino mass scale and heavy Majorana neutrino masses.
