Description

U-Talent Utrecht is a collaboration between the University of Utrecht, the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht and about 40 high-schools in the Utrecht region. The goal is to improve (beta)science-education at the high-school level as well as at the university level and to also improve the smooth transition from high-school to university education.

One of the peculiarities is that high-school students can follow courses at the university instead of their regular program. They get the possibility to get in touch with science and education at a deeper level as compared to the standard curriculum at their respective high-schools.

See https://u-talent.nl for more information.

This annual CERN visit is organized for high-school students following a science curriculum at high-school level, preparing for university studies and taking part in the U-talent program. A group of 48 visitors is expected, including students from many different schools from all over the Utrecht region.

The visit program covers two days at CERN and in Geneva. The group always arrives on Sunday evening by Dutch bus in Geneva and starts the CERN program on Monday morning. Besides standard CERN Visits Service itineraries, additional lab visits are planned, as well as lectures and workshops.

CERN welcomes the students from all over the Utrecht region in Geneva!
