Chair: Jeremy C
Minutes: TBC Duncan??
Apologies:
Low numbers due to CHEP:
Attending: Matt, Jeremy (chair+notes), Mark, Leo, Steve, Winnie, Gordon, Raja, Elena, John H, Kashif, Vip, ...
Raja: Nothing to report for LHCb.
No CMS report.
Elena - ATLAS: 3 tickets. One for Sheffield – problem with disk server now fixed. Old ticket for Glasgow on deletion errors. Dashboard does not show any issue in last 48 hrs. Another deletion errors ticket on ECDF was opened on 6th July but has yet to be acknowledged.
Weekly meting. Main news is 2 years old dataset removed 4th July. 488TB local disk space created.
No questions.
Other VOs: Raja mentioned some progress on DUNE. They have trouble moving data from Fermi to RAL. Probably a dCache issue at Fermi. Some low level tests for DUNE successful. Individual transfers of data work but if using FTS then direct connection not able to work (dCache to ECHO). Will see if it resolves with a forthcoming dCache reset planned at Fermi.
GridPP DIRAC: One issue spotted with delays under VAC for UKI-NORTHGRID-MAN-HEP.uk.
Run through bulletin updates: https://www.gridpp.ac.uk/wiki/Operations_Bulletin_Latest
- General: Look at CHEP timetable
- WLCG ops coordination. Various updates from the meeting last week. Main action is on GDPR and service statements.
- ROD rota being updated
- Security: Singularity 2.2.5 out in EPEL now. Linda reported that there is a need for an update on policy for announcing updates etc. in conjunction with OSG.
Tickets:
- The focus this week was on the IPv6 tickets. Matt had checked the status of each.
- Jeremy then related these updates back to the IPv6 tracking table in the wiki: https://www.gridpp.ac.uk/wiki/IPv6_site_status. Some updates were made for consistency.
- A reminder that the WLCG target was for all sites to have dualstack perfSONAR and storage headnodes by the end of Run2 (end 2018).
Other items:
- The GridPP41 main meeting starts at 14:00 on 29th August. This is now on the registration page: https://indico.cern.ch/event/736483/.
