Supported modes for OP:
- Injection trajectory for up to 16 injections per user
- First injection has all gates enabled (assume empty ring)
- Subsequent injections with OP gate selection (PPM setting)
- Injection pre-pulses used to trigger (SPS BST)
- Data published after each injection
- Capture (one acquisition per user)
- Slots and number of turns OP setting (PPM)
- Trigger with msec delay from injection prepulse or start of cycle
- Data published at end of acquisition
- Orbit data (basis = 1kHz average of all slots)
- Continuous IIR filter with data stored to DDR (dual-port)
- Acquisition properties:
- Server action with filters (as for BPMOPOS today) (Get() only - not notified)
- YASP will specify start, stop etc
- Server action with notification (end of cycle)
- Orbit data averaged over 10msec (fixed) for all BPMs or (two registers)
- ‘orbitAverageDepth’ // how many samples to sum over (starting from the first sample)
- ‘orbitAverageJump’ // how many samples to ‘jump’ between starting averages
If we want one snapshot per 10 msec you would put: depth = 1, Jump = 10
If we want averages over 10 sample every 10 msec you would put: depth = 10, Jump = 10
The new system with its operational APIs will be documented as a simple EDMS document. Lars will provide a suitable template to Athanasios.
