Description
I will introduce the scenario of low-scale leptogenesis, where the Standard Model is complemented by two "light" right-handed neutrinos, with masses in the 1 - 100 GeV range. I will review the form of the rate equations applying to this system, as well as the computation of rate coefficients to leading order in the SM. The resulting system of equations is solved numerically for right-handed neutrinos that are neither in kinetic, nor in chemical, nor in helicity-flip equilibrium. The observed baryon asymmetry can be successfully produced and scans of the full parameter space of right-handed neutrino masses and Yukawa couplings are performed, searching also for islands that can produce large lepton asymmetries, which can boost the production of a third keV-scale right-handed neutrino, which is a Dark Matter candidate.
