Yesterday summary :

Downstream :

      ATLAS RPC - has moved forward to 2 meters, chamber currently under repair, will come back ≈ next week.
      CMS-CSC : One chamber next to RPC (unchanged)
      CMS-CSC + LHCb : moved back to 5 m

 

Today :

Short Access at 14h30 (30 minutes) for safety visit.

Upstream :

This afternoon :  ATLAS-MM :  1000 / 100 / 50 / 22 / 10 / 6.9 / 4.6 / 2.2 / 1 - each ≈ 1h. Quick source stop in between.  EP-DT joins this.
Friday : Filterscan 9h to 3 PM. Same range.
Weekend stable 6.9
Monday :  Ramp ≈ 4h form 9-14h.

Downstream :
==========
Starting now : CMS- DT : 8 filters scan between  460-15, 1.2h each.

 

09:25 → 09:40 Mass Production Test Schedule

Upstream field :

       ATLAS-MM :  LM2 at 1 meter  for one more week
                                SM2 at 1.1 m - for 2 more weeks
                                SM1 at 1.5 m - for 2 more weeks
                               (we expect new chambers mid December)
                               starting from January 4 chambers per months  - 2 / 4 chambers at the same time.  ≈ for 1 year.

ALICE TCP : 6 chambers, (3 big, 3 small)  - 2 at the same time, swap takes 45 minutes.
               currently on hold, restarting in two weeks (then mostly unshadowed)
               Total 20-30 (aiming for 6 per week,  1 day flushing, few hours for testing)  - 5 weeks 

Downstream :

CMS-DT  1/15 campaign until early January.
ATLAS - sTGC :  5-6 chambers should arrive beginning of December - half an hour for each chamber

          (might be better compatible with upstream)

ALICE - FE Electronic upgrade. To be defined.

09:50 → 10:00 Infrastructure & Upgrades to the Facility

Improvements needed or planned for the facility.

NEW retrieval of TIMBER values : Work in progress, but already available in beta version

Additional values need to be collected/republished ?
        - REMUS  - to be included in GIF Display
        - XTDV - to be included in pytimber only

DIP Bridge between TN and GPN : Finally on real machine (not VM) asnd located in the CCC rack room. In case of failure, we call the CCC/TI operator on 72201‬, and ask him to contact the  "ICS CONTROL PIQUET" for this.
