Τhe NCSR "Demokritos" Congress Center is located in the campus of the Research Centre, a very pleasant, 600-acres wooded area in the city of Agia Paraskevi, at the base of Mount Hymettus. It is 10 km away from the Athens city center and only a 20-minute high-way drive from Eleftherios Venizelos Athens International Airport.
Access to NCSR "Demokritos" from the centre of Athens
By Bus: Take the bus B5 from the Central Railway Station towards Aghia Paraskevi, and get off at the "4th stop of Ag. Paraskevi". The bus stop is very close to the main entrance of NCSR "Demokritos". Depending on the traffic, the journey from the centre of Athens may take from 45 to 60 minutes.
By Metro and Bus: Take line 3 of the metro (blue line) to "Doukissis Plakentias or Airport" direction and get off at "Nomismatokopio" stop. Follow the “Kondylaki” exit where you can reach the bus station. Take the B5 bus or the 407 bus towards the direction of Aghia Paraskevi, and get off at the "4th stop of Ag. Paraskevi". The bus stop is next to the main entrance of NCSR "Demokritos".
Depending on the traffic, this journey from the centre of Athens may take ~ 30 minutes.

Access to NCSR "Demokritos" from the Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos"
By Bus: Take the X95 bus to "Nomismatokopio" metro station. This takes approximately 40 minutes. From there you can take bus B5 towards the direction of Aghia Paraskevi, and get off at the "4th stop of Ag. Paraskevi". The bus stop is very close to the main entrance of NCSR "Demokritos". Depending on the traffic, the journey from the airport may take from 45 to 60 minutes.

Access from Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos" to the centre of Athens
By Bus: Take the X95 bus until its terminal station, which is at Syntagma square. This takes approximately 1 hour depending on the traffic.
By Metro: Take line 3 (blue line) from "Airport" to "Egaleo” – there is only one direction. The departure hours are every half an hour (:30, :00). The ticket costs 6 Euros. 40 minutes lasts the travel to the centre of Athens. Please note that the metro is not available from 00:00 till 5:00 in the morning.
