Follow-up from previous meeting

• Added issue in Github summarizing things to do for multiprocessor jobs

DIRAC communities roundtable

• CLIC:
  • NTR
• LHCb:
  • NTR
• GridPP:
  • Waiting for v6r20p26 to go in production
• Belle2:
  • Still running very old v6r17
    • going to upgrade soon (early next year) to v6r20
• BES (from mail):
  • working on GPU federation which will use tags

Current situation

DIRAC

• no new releases since last year
• Decided to:
  • make v6r20p26 with the few bug fixes PRs that we have right now
  • move more problematic PRs to new release v6r21 that would include:
    • PR for FTS #3922 (requires DB changes and running a script)
    • PR for modifying the PYTHONPATH of pilots #3923
    • backport of dirac-install from integration branch, with a couple more fixes that will come
      • this will give us possibility to install optionally DIRACOS

WebApp:

• NTR

Pilot3:

• Added a few more tests done on Travis

DIRACOS:

• DIRACOS v1r0 should be ready, tag soon
• First need to fix the upload of tarballs to EOS web

Documentation

• new script (v7r0) for creating the documentation of the "dirac-*" commands, using the "--help" switch
  • also agreed on putting more docs in the docstrings, like done for dirac-install
• new howto section in PR (Chris)

BOINC:

DB12:

tornado and other externals

• Simon made a PR on Chris repository concerning M2Crypto, still to be evaluated

Release planning, tests and certification

Release planning:

• v6r20 series
  • v6r20p26 probably the last patch of v6r20
• v6r21 series
  • to make starting from v6r20
• v7r0 series
  • Should install on DIRAC certification with:
    • DIRAC v7r0-preX
    • DIRACOS  v1r0
    • WebApp 4.0
    • releases.cfg should be modified accordingly
  • bashrc will need to be re-done, so a fresh installation is needed
    • Instructions should go to https://github.com/DIRACGrid/DIRAC/wiki/DIRAC-v7r0
  • All Jenkins tests should be updated

Certification process: 

• The DIRAC certification machine should be re-done from scratch, including the DB and all
  • use CentOS7
• Started looking into Jenkins pipelines, looks good

Weekly development(s) focus

• NTR

DIRAC: current PRs and tasks being worked on, or topics from Google forum

• PRs all discussed above
• Question in the forum about cvfms.egi installation should be answered by EGI

• Next BiLD-Dev meeting will be held in 2 weeks (31 January)

LHCbDIRAC

• v9r3 and v9r4 plan in the wiki
• long mail with explanation fro v9r3, which will be based on v6r21
• CVMFS installation of lcgBundle:
  • need to remove the setting of the PYTHONPATH
  • we need instructions to be added so that everyone can release
  • all tasks in https://its.cern.ch/jira/browse/LBCORE-1410
