Mechanical instrumentation update
Participants:
CERN: M. Guinchard, S. Emami Naini
CEA: D. Simon, S. Perraud, H. Felice
update on the measurements:
CEA summarizes the work done so far on the coil measurements.
MG suggests to make a Fuji test by placing fuji on calibrated shims btw the 2 blocks of the set up to ensure their proper alignment.
SEN will check the naming convention of the bar SG given the fact that an inversion has been noticed last week. It is important for SEN and MG to know about it to track the change in their data base.
SEN will also check the LVDT naming versus position
Update on the collars: they will be cycled on time
Update on the bullets
MG agrees with the proposed concept. He points out that at CERN they usually use a convex/concave contact surface with different radius which translate in fact in a ponctual contact so same concept as the one proposed here. MG mentions that the SG + pad should be 8 mm in width by 10 mm in length
CEA needs to check that these dimensions fit on the flat area of the bullet.
Once the parts are procured, MG team can do the calibration and use the flange (likely backward) to access the bullet. The diameter of the flange is 198 mm
