Participation: Strathclyde, KIT, STFC, KYMA, PSI, AU-IAT, ALBA, ANSTO, ST-ELETTRA, ENEA
During N. Thompson's presentation, F. Nguyen asks what is the photon energy/pulse requested by potential users. G. D'Auria answers that about 100 µJoule seems enough. A. Bernhard asks whether it is the case to consider more aggressive superconducting undulatory designs. G. D'Auria answers that it should be considered.
During F. Nguyen's presentation on the structure of the document D5.1, G. D'Auria emphasizes to consider "advances in science and technology" within a range of 5 years from now. F. Nguyen comments that no time upper limit is considered for this item: it has just to be a reasonable technology development even on a longer scale. After discussing, together with G. D'Auria, T. Schmidt, R. Geometrante and A. Bernhard we have agreed to add a small paragraph on undulator cost estimates in the final remarks chapter. A. Cross argues that regarding the microwave undulators it is difficult to estimate reliable costs, since they are at a very low TRL.
R. Rochow announces that training sessions will be organized on LaTex/Overleaf
