10:00 → 10:20 Machine protection workshop - overview & structure

The scope of the workshop is to prepare Run3 of the accelerator complex, learning from the past experience and by reviewing the status and foreseen changes in the machine protection and related systems of the LHC and the related key areas/system of the injector complex during LS2. We aim to address the arising challenges with LIU beams and other new parameters or equipment (optics, beam energy, 11 T, … ) in relation to machine protection and to discuss possible tests required during Run 3 in preparation of Run 4, which are not part of normal operation.
