ALICE Virtual Visit:   technical test will take place Monday, 10am in Puebla.

Exhibit material:  all plastified A4 prints are done (posters caption, poems).  Problem with the large prints is being solved, we should have them on time.

This was the last remote meeting. Rendez-vous in Puebla.

There are minutes attached to this event. Show them.

Exhibit scenography and publicity (by BUAP & ARPA teams + Claire) 5m

      Updated on 4.05

Claire will arrive to ARPA on Wednesday 15, for 4 days of final adjustments of the material with Jesus et al.

      ARPA:

      - a meeting with the setup company will take place next week, dimensions and weights of the objects will be provided/discussed. We will be able to install the exhibit on Monday (all day).

      - 19 pieces are being produced, some tiny and some large, for example a "stereotype collider" which will be in the center of the room. Some "actions"will be recorded the week before and shown as videos (e.g. Lorenzo and artists working on a board, or the "collider"event)

      - given that ATLAS prints are in fabrics, the best way to integrate them with the students pieces and hold them will be decided together. Credits to CERN and experiments image providers will be given via a set of plastified A4 prints of "captions", for now in English --> can someone help with the translation to Spanish next week ?

      Artists:

Change of government slows down contacts for Ale de la Puente's programme. Her participation will only be confirmed at the last minute. Pedro will bring 3 pieces

      Poems:

All existing poems have been found as well as authorisations. Credits will be given via the same type of A4 plastified pages as for the experiments, one per poet. Final choice of poems and images for the slideshow will be adjusted in ARPA.

N.B. : Claire submitted an abstract to the EPS conference outreach parallel session, that will be co-signed by ORIGIN and BUAP contributors. Both Jesus and Irais are OK with this.

Detector pieces (by Mexican institutes) 5m

      Update 25.04:

LHCb proposes to send, together with the A0 photo of the detector, a set of fibres and converters that would illustrate the current upgrade activities. A conference participant should be able to explain what needs to be said, if not Bolek is willing to explain by skype.

Material brought by conference participants (by ORIGIN coordinators) 5m

      Updated 4.5

Large CERN images (1.8x1.8 m) and smaller ATLAS images (1x1m) have arrived and Claire will bring them. They fit in a 50x50x30 cm box, are printed on very light weight fabrics and will be integrated in the ARPA setup.

Books will be brought by an ALICE colleague.

The "captions" and "poets credits" will be printed and plastified at CERN, also brought by Claire.

Schools program = talks (by Arely), ALICE Virtual Visit (by Despina), cosmic piano (by Arturo) 5m

      Updated 25.04:

Arely could connect and confirm that she will start to work on slides beginning of May. Tom McCauley will come to Mexico and explain how to use his web based "playing with data" activity. Students will be 16-18.

      Morning session:

Science: CERN/LHC intro talk by Arely (~15') followed by a Virtual Visit of the ALICE control room and detector (~45'). Total 1h

Exhibit: dark matter rap demo (duration ?) and tour of the exhibit. Total 1h

      Afternoon session:

Science: CERN/LHC intro talk by Arely (~15') followed by a Playing with data exercice. Total 1h

Exhibit: cosmic piano demo (duration ?) and tour of the exhibit. Total 1h

Art competition = jury (by Jesus & all), awards (by Claire & all), event agenda (by Irais & all) 5m

      Updated 30.4.19:

      - Ceremony: Lorenzo proposes a play, based on the material collected for a "Dark matter rap project"

      - Competition prizes:  the idea of books & thematic prizes is OK, more can be added by Mexican physicists doing outreach.

      - Certificates to give to the (~20) students: it is a tradition in Mexico, see model provided by Irais

      - Jury: University head said yes. Event organisers are ALICE/ATLAS --> restaure experiments balance through 1 CMS/LHCb/Theory conference participant.

      Poets project 5m

      Updated 04.05

We have professional 11 poets works. The poet featured in the links is the only native Spanish speaking, but her 3 pieces are also right into the theme I think. On the video she interacts with a very well known theorist, whose latest book is one of the prizes.

      Plan:

Produce and bring a plastified A4 page for each of the 11 poets for which Claire has a similar e-book, with screenshots of the front page & poet biography. Like that copy-rights are respected in all cases.

Do the same (or provide a folder ?) with others. All in Spanish.

The slideshow content (poems and CERN images) & look/speed can then be tuned on the exhibit together in Puebla.
