DOMA ACCESS 30-04-2019 (Coordinators meeting)
Present: Frank, Ilija, Markus, Stephane and Xavi
Slide with a proposal of a possible roadmap (XE) was discussesd. It has been agreed to:
- Focus and actively follow the different national initiatives in Europe: UK, IT, FR, ES, DE and US
- Follow High-End Hardware XCache deployments: SDSC and UC
- Continue with XCache stress testing (stability)
- Organise training for XCache deployment
- Strength bindings with Cost Modelling (to estimate $$$ tag)
- Keep on working on the emulations, simulations
- Work on documentation for descriptions, examples and instructions about how to deploy XCache
- Ilija is inclined for central management on XCache but both scenarios are not exclusives. There will be an hybrid deployment models of XCache and having a source of information for better practices sounds reasonable.
Actions:
- Active follow-up of current activities needed: we need to get involved and have an overall vision of what is going on right now, hence
- Frank will be the link to follow US and Italy activities
- Xavi will be the link to follow activities in Spain
- Stephane will be the link to follow activities in France and UK
- Markus will be the link to follow activities in Germany
- Ilija will be the link to follow the progress of High-End hardware and distributed deployment model
- Sites and project responsible(s) involved on these activities will be the focus of the following meetings
