Description
From 10 to 17 of July 2019, the European Physical Society Conference on High Energy Physics (EPSHEP2019) will take place in Ghent, Belgium. This conference is organized every 2 years since 1971 and is one of the major international events in particle physics and related fields.
On the occasion of this conference several events are scheduled for the general public, including the Cool Physics Day (http://coolphysicsday.ugent.be/) that is organized in partnership with the ORIGIN network. The event will include a science exhibition providing an introduction to particle physics, the CERN LHC experiments and gravitational waves using posters and hands-on setups; a science-on-stage show where spectacular physics demos are performed live on stage; virtual visits to the CMS experiment at the CERN LHC and the VIRGO gravitational wave experiment in Italy.
