Description
Lifecycle Objectives Milestone (LCO) review of the MedAustron control system. This milestone review is intended to lead to a transition from the next project phase. The review of the first phase concentrates on - achieving an agreement on the scope of the work package “controls” - achieving an agreement on the development process of the MedAustron control system (MACS) - acknowledging the identified risks and achieving an agreement on the proper identification of the major risks - achieving an agreement of the high-level goals of the control system to be developed - acknowledging and achieving an agreement of the works to be carried out to achieve the goals

      - Identify open issues that would prevent advancement to the next project phase (elaboration phase) as outlined in the development process (PM-090707-a-JGU).
      - Mitigation actions on the risks identified in the risk management plan to convert showstoppers into acceptable risks.
      - Confirm or refine the scope of the work package
      - Assess realism of current project setup
      - Give recommendations and point out corrective measures on the next steps
