Jaqueline, 60 degree lattice for LHC energy upgrades and MD in 2021

With 60 degrees lattice energy limit for main quads and sextupoles could be 10 TeV. Aperture is challenging at injection in few dispersion suppressors. Tune change with MQTs generate about 3 times more beta-beating than in 90 degrees lattice. Optimization of  tune knobs could be explored. Coupling knobs under construction.

-> check the phase advance between MKD and triplet in view of possible future squeezed optics.

OMC software will not be implemented inside the BE python distribution. Still tfs, sdds, generic_parser we could install them inside the distribution virtually. Else, we can keep simpler with all our codes in one place.

CO Python could be made available in lxplus in the future.

There is a new correct.py in python 3, without chromatic coupling correction. How to do? General implementation of chromatic corrections? or keep only chromatic coupling corrections? Maybe not critical for now.

Python wrappers are provided to make compatible new omc3 with current GUI.

Josch had some issues with cleaning and using new codes, to be reviewed.

What about injectors? Should new code be available for May-June next year?

Unification of converter would use only binary reading in the GUI. Ewen requests an option to still

write cleaned ascii file.
