newdle was born from the need for a meeting coordination "doodle-like" tool which could be used in a collaborative environment (such as CERN's), while providing the added value of integration with the Organization's e-mail and calendaring software stack. It is part of the MAlt initiative.
Although developed by the Indico Team, newdle is an Open Source project which is independent from Indico itself.
In this talk we will:
- go over the reasons for this project (including a short market survey);
- explain the main features provided as well as feature plans;
- demonstrate the proof-of-concept application that was developed in a series of 2-day sprints.
