The first combined version of the EGEE-III "vision" has been distributed to the PEB. The link is attached to this page. We should respond to this document as soon as practical (in particular the contributions from other activities). An updated version of the NA4 contribution is also linked. (It is now available from EDMS.) It takes into account previous comments from Monique and Massimo, but not the more recent ones from Roberto. Roberto's points and any further points to be discussed during the meeting.

15:10 → 15:20 Strategy for Integration of 3rd Party Tools

The TCG discussed for the first time integration of 3rd-party (application-level) tools into the gLite middleware stack. This was controversial with both SA1 and SA3. NA4 needs to define what we expect of this integration. In particular,

• What certification do we expect of these tools?
• What testing of these tools?
• What distribution mechanism do we want?
• What is the deployment policy for these tools?
• Who is responsible for each of the above items?

should be discussed.
