Description

In Introductory Masterclasses, participants can try out data measurements from three of the four large LHC experiments at CERN as well as from the Belle II e+e- collider experiment at KEK, the MINERvA neutrino experiment at Fermilab and a Particle Therapy Masterclass. Learning groups are small - no more than 4 per measurement - and are guided by masterclass experts. There are two 45-minute sessions in which all 6 masterclasses are offered; participants can come to one or both.

These measurements are primarily intended for groups of high school students in International Masterclasses, a  program of the International Particle Physics Outreach Group, and are used in more than 50 countries worldwide each year.
