This meeting of the UIG has two main objectives a) To review the first prototype material prior to release before Christmas b) To define workplan after Xmas for more advanced user scenarios

      Overview of mandate and operational process for UIG

      It is important we agree the total process for the work
      of the UIG starting from the initial definition of the
      material and including validation, presentation, storage
      and review

        Review of UIG mandate and discussion of the future operational processes (and manpower) for UIG 2h
        The objective of this introductory session will be: (i) To review the original mandate for the group and identify any areas in which we have diverged from this. (ii) To discuss the proposals put forward by members of the group for re-organisation of the UIG operations and development of sustainable processes for creating and maintaining UIG resources. (iii) To evaluate manpower requirements for these processes, identify any shortfalls, and discuss possible solutions to these.

      Detailed walkthrough of work done so far for beginner user scenarios

      Material exists for an agreed set of beginner user
      scenarios ranging from getting a certificate to first work
      with job submission, data management and job
      monitoring. Detailed work has also been accomplished
      on formatting this material for presentation to users.

      This work will be presented and discussed, and we will
      evaluate its suitability for release.
