CERN

Description

UPDATE: Due to the recent circumstances regarding the COVID-19 virus, PTChat2020 is postponed until autumn 2020. Given the rapid change of the situation, new dates will be determined subsequently.

The focus of the institute will be on recent progress in the non-linear modelling of the large-scale structure of the Universe. Various open topics in theoretical LSS will be discussed with a particular emphasis on:

  • perturbative approaches to nonlinear dark matter dynamics

  • galaxy biasing

  • redshift space distortions

  • BAO and reconstruction methods

  • statistics beyond power spectrum

  • modeling and estimation of covariance matrix

  • likelihood at the field level

  • beyond n-point functions and alternative summary statistics

The institute is envisioned to allow for many discussions and collaborative works in order to foster exchange between the participants, new ideas and new collaborations.

Organizers: Francis Bernardeau, Emanuele Castorina, Azadeh Moradinezhad Dizgah, Marko Simonovic, Zvonimir Vlah
