112th FCC-ee Optics Design Meeting
Tentative results of the discussion (summarized by KO):
1. The distance between ee and HH IPs. A solution may exist for the ee-optics as presented by KO, shifting the HH beam looks easier and even cheaper than moving the ee beam. One of our HH colleagues (Rogelio) thinks that the best way is to extend the HH beam from the arc following the outer beam of ee (blue line in the left side of the slide) until HH IP comes close to ee's. So we will wait for the developments in the HH side, before looking at the ee lattice further.
2. The difficulties of 4 IP to achieve the peak and integrated luminosity, such as pointed out by Dmitry, are well recognized by people in the meeting. The 4 IP issue needs a discussion with physics people.
3. The alignment strategy based on girders in the arc, a as in the slides, sounds more or less reasonable to the participants of the meeting. There may be some misunderstandings between the alignment people. So having a joint meeting with optics and alignment people will be good to solve the issue. Some external experts may be invited too.
