Present: Serge Mathot and Alexej Grudiev
Serge presented the fabrication procedure for the RFQ2 and the differences to the previous RFQ. He also mentioned at which fabrication step RFQ will be ready for the RF measurements. As for the HF-RFQ two sets of RF measurements will be done: 1. Each individual module will be measured using bead-pull for qualification; 2. fully assembled RFQ after final vacuum leak check will be RF measured and tuned if necessary.
Serge will prepare set of pictures and drawings for each of this configuration.
Alexej described ideas for the RF tuning of the RFQ2: 1. dipole rods will be adjusted based on RF simulations and will not need to be RF tuned. This may save some time. 2. Final RF tuning will be done using real copper tuners with some extra length (HF-RFQ procedure). This may require some modification of the fabrication drawings of the tuners.
