Weekly meeting slot for technical topics. We will try and focus on one topic per meeting.  We will announce at the Tuesday Ops meeting if this meeting is going ahead and if so the topic to be discussed.

There was a long discussion on which of the Rucio interfaces DIRAC should use when interacting with Rucio.  It was decided to use the REST interface.  The primary reason for this was that the DIRAC developers have expressed a desire to not include more dependencies when packaging DIRAC.  As DIRAC / Rucio integration progresses this decision may change. 

 

Actions:

 

- RAL to build an intermediate release when the python + REST interfaces are available.

- RAL to document the VO heading for the REST interface.

- Janusz and Ian to have a discussion around generate a language binding to interface with the Rucio REST API.

- Alastair to arrange next technical discussion, first half of June.
