The young scientists fora at the LHC joined forces to organise a cycle of soft skills workshops, where each event will focus on career development training aspects (CV writing, grant writing, importance of networking, career paths, negotiations for a new job, interview preparation, etc).
Given the current COVID19 situation, we find ourselves working from home and facing new challenges. During these difficult times, it is necessary that we stay in contact as a community, learn from each other's experiences, and remain motivated. So we decided to host the first event this year on the topic of how to make the most of working from home.
The event will start with a short introduction with general tips for teleworking, followed by a round table discussion and Q&A session where we can discuss personal experiences, challenges and share tips and best practices. For the round table we are going to invite representatives from Women In Technology (WIT), from the #physicistsathome social campaign, and from the LHCb/ALICE Starterkit initiative.
