Present: Beatrice, Roberto, Andrea, Patrick, Kacper, Fred, Gianluca, Fabio, Federico, Leonardo
Indico: https://indico.cern.ch/event/927780/
ALICE #no elog
TOF
- need to stop gas system to do a modification in power-supply —> LPh to check with TOF people
- change of pump last week, this week change of membrane to plan (Kacper)
TPC
- Kacper in contact with company for compressor maintenance. As soon as he has new, he’ll let us know
TRD
- new valves installed in recuperation module
CPV
- humidifier installed but not all sensors/valves are shown in WinCC-OA —> LPh to check with Michal
- final commissioning of system to be done
MTR
- Piquet intervention (see section below)
ALL
- modifications on all power supplies on-going for ALICE gas systems
- need to do a modification for HMPID and MTR
- need to stop TOF gas system to do a modification in power-supply —> LPh to check with TOF people
ATLAS #2566
MDT
- Reset of pressure sensors giving problem (elog #2489)
- Resume P&ID test with Gianluca (elog #2437) this week
TGC
- On-going preparation too start weld this week
RPC
- Rack 64 in open mode
- RPC people ask to move to rack 65
- New mixer for BIS to build this week —> Fabio
TRT
- TRT people asked to re-start system at the end of this month
- Kacper to check for regeneration of purifier material
- Maintenance to do
CMS #2561
RPC
- IR checked and it is ok
- used pre-mix bottle prepared by LPh to calibrate the GC since there is still not the calibration bottle ordered
- All MFCs calibrated
- Still problem with iC4H10: set iC4H10 MFC at 4% to have 4.5% in IR
- Increase ~ 250 l/h: we are working at very low range of MFCs (~10-20%) so error can be big. Three steps:
- Increase the flow to ~600-800 l/h and perform GC analysis —> Andrea/Mara
- Calculate benefit of having a R134 MFC with a max flow of 1000 l/h or having a not-ATEX MFC —> Beatrice
- Check possibility of bring R134a and SF^ mFCs outside the rack —> Andrea
- Test on regulation valve (ECONEX) on-going in rack 83 —> Beatrice
- Flowcell #3 in error —> Andrea/Michal
- Pump Membrane maintenance —> Andrea/Kacper
CSC
- Vogtlin vs flowcells flow measurements ok —> this means that the flow we read with flowcells is correct
- We have ~40% less flow in all racks except rack 83, same for input distribution pressures (see elog #2518)
- To understand why we are at lower pressures and flow with respect to February
- The thing strange is that it happened in all races expect rack 83 that was re-started later: could it be a problem in all zimmerli?
- To try to stop and start the system this week —> Andrea to check with Xiaofeng
DT
- calibration of 25 flowcell in rack 61: after calibration the flow is the same as before for all flowcells
- Vogtlin vs flowcells flow measurements ok
- from previous two points we can conclude that flowcells are working correctly —> no need to recalibrate all of them
- Gianluca is analysing the data from 2011: it looks like in Run 1 we had a general decrease of flow and pressures in all racks. Not clear why and how
GEM
- To install second pump this week —> Andrea/Kacper
PGS
- Pressure of iC4H10 and SF6 wrong —> Andrea to check with David
LHCb #
RICH2
- compressor module to start this week
- IR module almost completed
- New compressor module: to find the pump for the purifier gas recuperation
- mixer maintenance to finish this week —> Patrick/Leonardo
- First setting of Coriolis done (https://eloggas.web.cern.ch/Tests+on+Gas+System+Components/19 and 20)
- Reading of Coriolis is negative: to check if it is mounted in the correct way —> Leonardo/Patrick
MWPC
- to replace valve for the analysis of mixer: need to stop only the mixer. In this way we also check for how long the gas system will survive without injection of fresh gas
- GC analysis of correct MWPC gas mixture to check MFC —> Mara
PGS
- Leak in He line: Federico to start check for leaks with He detector. Need to stop GC for pressure test for leak
- CF4 line of MWPC will be also used for RICH2: Fred and Patrick will meet David today
PIQUET
ALICE
- MTR sensor in red in main PCO
- PDT5030 drift and alarm received: alarm blocked as system is off —> LPh to check
GENERAL
- Maintenance
- The procedures are here: dfs//Departments/PH/Groups/TA1/Gas_group/002_LS2/MaintenanceProcedures
- Results have to be added here: dfs//Departments/PH/Groups/TA1/Gas_group/002_LS2/MaintenanceResults
- Very important to start maintenance procedures
- First will be mixers, we can start with the gas systems off
- Leonardo will be help the experiment responsible —> please coordinate with him
- MFC calibration campaign well advanced
- To do next week: ALICE MTR Exhaust and Humidifier
- ALICE TPC and TRD to check with LPh what can be done
- CMS DT: to check with DT people when we can move to open mode
- 3D drawings
- Mixer 3D drawings ready.
- Fred: for new mixer the tescom is different as well as some pipes —> to check Leonardo/Fred/Abdel/Herve
- Roberto: leave space at the top of MFC for maintenance and electrical connections
- We will have 2 3D drawings: old and new Mixer
- For next week: Exhaust module
From previous meeting:
- Level of PGS sometimes is > 100% —> Michal to check
