Abstract:
In my lecture I will introduce some basic concepts of flavour physics and why it is interesting. I will cover some aspects of CP violation and baryogenesis. After a brief historical digression, I will introduce the CKM matrix and the rise of b physics, concluding with a very brief introduction to the current experimental effort.
