5th meeting: Status of Copper testing and alternative material plans

Ruth updated on the high voltage test status of the OFE copper after brazing cycle heat treatment. It is at initial setting up of the system at very low voltage ~70V and much longer pulse length than used before. Few power cut over the last two week did not help here. It is on the good track towards starting conditioning at high voltages.
Anite reviewed the list of alternative material for which she is taking care of finding material of the size suitable for electrode fabrication. see slides for more details. We will focus on the materials for which standard 80mm electrodes can be fabricated: 2 pairs for each material.
Alexej informed the team about the news from the WPL meeting of 28.07. 1. New budget codes has been created for all the WP including WP10: BC69594. 2. No MME person dedicated specifically to fabrication has been assigned. This means WP10 members will take care of coordinating fabrication of different parts together with main workshop.
Giulia reported that ~1week irradiation time slot can be found still this year. She will let us know possible weeks after discussion with H- source test stand team. She also mentioned that after on site visit together with Sergio it become clear that integration of the vacuum valve between 2nd solenoid and the RFQ-box is not possible due to luck of space. Other solution has to be found. To be discuss at the next meeting when Sergio is back.
