Description
Abstract: 2G HTS conductors are enabling for many magnet applications, both for high fields or lower fields operating at elevated temperatures. The 2G HTS offers high critical current density and superior mechanical properties when compared to 1G HTS and high field LTS superconductors. 2G HTS also offers an efficient solution for power transfer problems including current leads and bus bars. This presentation will report on the current status of SuperPower's 2G HTS conductors and future trends of the technology.
