Description
In relativistic heavy-ion collisions at RHIC and LHC, it is widely believed that a deconfined state of matter, the quark-gluon plasma (QGP), is created.  In order to understand the nature of QGP and its interaction with high energy partons, jets are an important set of objects with nontrivial interactions.  Since it is an extended and composite object, by comparing different types of jets we have an additional handle on the jet quenching mechanism that is otherwise not easily accessible.  Substructure observables are a good way to look inside the jets and identify the large-scale structures, complementary to the distributions of individual candidates and the overall energy.  In this talk, some of the results with jet substructure observables in heavy-ion collisions will be summarized, along with their implications.
