A special LHC-DATA-HACKATHON (3-day mini kaggle-style competition) focused on analysis of data from the Large Hadron Collider is taking place November 6-8, 2018. The competition is open to anyone and will be based on public datasets. The goal is to achieve top results in identifying interesting physics using any techniques, and in particular, machine learning.
There will be an accompanying mini-competition in analyzing images of events from the Large Hadron Collider using, for example, techniques from computer vision. The kick-off session will be on Tuesday November 6th at 2pm in the CIT Atrium, 3rd floor. Winners will be announced on Friday November 9. More information or questions about the hackathon? Please join us for the kick-off session and on slack, or contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Coffee and pastry will be provided.
