To celebrate the work of physics teachers, 7th of November has been designated as the National Physics Techer's day in Latvia. To mark this occasion, portal fizmix.lv, with the support of Latvenergo AS, University of Latvia (UL) and Riga Technical University (RTU), is organising a webinar for the physics teachers in Latvia on various topics of interest.
As a part of this event teachers will be given a virtual tour of the CMS detector, guided by the CMS Guide Team and members of the Latvian research team at CERN, Toms Torims, Kārlis Dreimanis and Guntis Pikurs. During this visit Latvian researchers will talk about their research activities at CMS and CERN in general, as well as answer the questions posed by the teachers.
