DILIGENT integration and testing meeting #4

Presents: CERN: Roberta, Pedro CNR: Andrea ENG: Paolo F. 4DSoft: Istvan, Andor UoA : Vangelis INTEGRATION ACTIVITY Build (ENG) : IB0.4.0 builds without the deployment test subsystem ACTION: ENG will further investigate the problem (copy or production of the artifacts for specific services?) ACTION: produce a unique build report 0.4.0 development build ~97% succesful ACTION: ENG to stop authomatic builds Deployment testing (CERN): Several deployment tests were run for specific components to fix the bugs 11 bugs remain open, 6 bugs have no solution 85% components integrated, 15% remain to be integrated (including "special cases") Proposed treatment of special cases: - Assign release status CANCELLED to the following components: code not made available, sw version incompatible with current release. - Assign INTEGRATED to services that need manual configuration and allow them to pass to the testing phase (add a note to the correspondent savana task) This approach is reported in twiki at: https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/DILIGENT/DiligentIntegrationRAlpha One full deployment test run. Only the following service classes are not completely integrated: DIS, DVOS, CMS. Testing team can work on all the others. TESTING (4DSOFT) - currenlty installing the diligent system (DIS-* partially installed, will be completed soon) - current plan is to install all other services before starting the tests Q: which componet sould be installed in which node? - discussion and agreement that the tests should start one service at a time (with dependencies where needed) without installing the full diligent system. ACTION: 4DSOFT to produce the draft plan and circulate to the mailing list for feedback ACTION: CERN to send 4DSoft information about dependencies Next meeting: Wednesday December 13 at 10h ACTION: CERN set up the next confcall
