Safety

  • EN-AA (D. Raffourt) will make a proposal for the siren extension and associated cable request. Action/Michael to follow up
  • As the siren extension impacts the schedule for works in TCC8 (low activity part, access container installation), dates should be communicated as soon as possible to WP4/5/6 and planning (Ixone/Fernando). Action/Michael
  • Evacuation paths in LS3 are fine. Communication to NA-CONS in case of constraints to be done during LS3
  • CAF positions were defined. Action/Rahul to check for reference and share it with team

RP

  • Olin shared several updates on FLUKA model, irradiation station, muons, service cell, prototype target (see slides)
  • James shared evaluation of radionuclide inventory from W/Ta target (A, LL, LA) (see slides). They were evaluated for all blocks separately. All results are available on CERNBOX. Investigation of kaon contribution ongoing. Action/James to share folder with Gerald/Paolo
  • Action/Fred to check with Gerald/Paolo if Inconel to be separated from W/Ta target for waste packaging
  • Studies from Elzbieta for NA62 activation ongoing. Preliminary plots in Indico
  • Action/Yann/Renaud to do waste forecast update

FIRIA

  • Update for service building, ventilation, UPS, ERA, underground fire scenarios, etc. given (see slides)
  • Action/Pavol to make statement for FIRIA that filter burning scenario for filters from the target complex (not He circuit) does not have to be considered
  • Underground fire doors were foreseen in NA-CONS, but not above-ground that were included in the IRP. Action/Rahul to organize a visit with SCE to discuss compartmentalization

Access & Safety Systems

  • Detailed overview about ongoing works was given (see slides)
  • Action/Michael to check with Ixone for date of b911 reader installation which should be installed as soon as possible (October 2025?)
  • Action/Michael to follow up with Pablo on review of proposed access systems in b574 as not in line with area classification (mostly all Controlled Radiation Area!, EDMS 3309739). Only first/second floor rooms accessible from the outside are with card readers. Turnstile for unicity control in corridor as extra dosimeter reader. Only normal groundlevel access at changing room area. All others are emergency exits only. Large door from b911 to b574 is with RP veto. Don’t hesitate to contact Claudia for any questions
  • For access container, fence is already in TCC8 with minor modifications being handled under WP4. Action/Jean-Louis to share location with Michael, and extend container time frame
  • Service cell design study covers fire detection system, which is communicated by WP4 to EN-AA once available (~end of year)
  • Action/Michael to schedule meeting with Rahul and Oriol to follow up on open questions regarding underground fire system requirements that represent 80% of their total cost
  • Action/Michael share planning with Ixone and Fernando
  • Once discussed updates (e.g. on access system were done), Action/Michael to distribute EDMS for review

Jamie

In view of no time left, discussion was skipped, but please look at slides with updates on Seismic and Structural, Underpressure Cascade, UPS Batteries, Noise Study,  Emergency Egress Paths, ODH Risks and General Support
