LCD-WG3 Physics observable related to tracks (now obsolete)
This working groups was active in 2010, during a specific preparatory phase for the CLIC CDR. The oversight of the above activities is now covered by WG6: https://indico.cern.ch/categoryDisplay.py?categId=3061
WG3 coordinates the studies of charged particle reconstruction for an experiment at CLIC with emphasis on track and vertex reconstruction, jet flavour tagging and tau identification. The scope of this activity will include physics requirements, detector design, and optimization, algorithm development and implementation, machine-induced background (such as pairs, two-photon and parallel muons) mitigation and physics benchmarking. The WG3 will provide appropriate inputs for the CLIC CDR preparation and tools for the reconstruction of simulated events. Special care will be devoted to vertexing and tracking in the forward region and the layout of the various detectors. Convener: Marco Battaglia
