Spectrometer Meeting Minutes

Participants: Matthew, David, Joe, Debdeep, Collette, Michele, Patric, Marlene

Specification Document:
Currently in progress.
Action: David to share the document ahead of the next meeting so it can be discussed during the meeting.
Magnet Positions:
- The dipole position is fixed.
- There is still some flexibility in the quadrupole positions. Action: David to present trade-offs.
Dipole Magnet Ramping Speed:
- To be clarified.
- It was agreed that the magnet will operate in DC mode (continuously powered, not pulsed), so a low ramping speed is acceptable.
Mechanical Stability:
- Mechanical simulations have been performed, assumed to demonstrate mechanical stability of the chamber.
  Action: Marlene to confirm.
- David noted that window bowing will be similar to the previous design and should not pose an issue.
Beam Parameters:
- John provided input on the expected beam parameters to Joe and Debdeep.
  Action: Share this input with David, and all involved to test diagnostic performance using these parameters.
Diagnostics & Integration:
- Action: Reserve space for the OSR diagnostics next to the spectrometer.
- Action: Finalize space reservation with Edu for the camera array, ensuring no interference with the magnet support.
- Action: Discuss and define the alignment strategy for the OSR diagnostics.
Spectrometer Dipole Chamber:
- No further comments or concerns.
  Action: Marlene to launch the approval process in PLM.
